Club Sessions and Rusty Racquets Resume

Club Sessions resume from 24th June

Now that the latest government and LTA guidance has allowed eight people to play on two courts, we have resumed the Club Sessions and Rusty Racquets as follows:

Club Sessions - starting from Wednesday 24 June at 6.00pm and then each Wednesday after that. For new members, this is a session open to all members where you have the chance to play against players of all abilities and ages. It’s a great way to meet new players and make friends. If more than eight people turn up, a member of the committee will arrange matches, with those not playing waiting outside the courts until it's their turn to play.

Rusty Racquets – starting from Tuesday 30 June from 2.00pm until 4.00pm and then each Tuesday at the same time after that. For new members, this is a session open to all members but especially for those who enjoy a more gentle game or are returning to playing tennis.

To keep everyone safe, here's a reminder of the current rules for use of the courts:

1.  Courts should be entered using the nearest gate.
2. Players must bring their own tennis balls which we recommend marking and using for a player's own service games.
3. Interaction with other players should be minimised. Wherever possible, please try to keep a minimum distance of 2 metres from other players.

4. Please do not sit on the benches.
5. Before and after playing, the gate lock, the padlock, and the net-winding handle should be wiped down with hand sanitiser or a disinfectant wipe.

The hut will not be accessible for the time being.

Thank you for your co-operation with these requirements in helping to keep everyone safe.
We shall review these rules, as required, according to any changes in government and LTA guidelines.

The Sunday morning Club Session will not resume yet but it is hoped that it will restart in the near future.

Enjoy your tennis over the summer!
